Government Banks conduct 2 types of entry level exams to get into Banking Sector. CLERKS (SINGLE WINDOW OPERATOR) and PROBATIONARY OFFICERS (PO). Institute of Banking Personnel selection (IBPS) is conducting COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION (CWE) for 19 PSU banks twice a year. There will be totally four exams in a year(two exams for Clerks and two exams for PO in a span of 6 months) SBI will conduct exams separately for Clerks and PO as per their requirements. SBI Associate Banks (Totally 5 banks) will conduct separate common exams for Clerks and PO as per their requirements. Private banks individually conduct exams for various different posts.
